Clarks and Wakefields gathered for dinner at the San Diego Yacht Club

We made contact with 68 current and former family members. 45 attended some or all the events.

Bee Clark arrived first on Saturday. Others continued to arrive through Friday.

Tuesday was highlighted by dinners at the Dallas Clark's and the Henry Wakefield's.

On Thursday we spent the day jet skiing and catamaran sailing followed by a Mexican dinner at Rancho's in Ocean Beach.

Dallas and Mary Clark hosted an afternoon and evening at the Wild Animal Park on Friday, 8/23.

A large group met Saturday morning at La Jolla Shores beach for a strenuous hike to the pier and back. That evening we all met for a final get together in the upstairs dining room at the San Diego Yacht Club, again, hosted by Dallas and Mary.

Although there are no firm plans for our next reunion, most agreed that we should have it fairly soon.

Background:

Our reunion celebrates families related to Lena Hollida Sefton, nee Lena Hollida Wakefield, nee Lena Hollida Clark. Lena was born March 25, 1880 in Atlanta, Georgia. On Decembar 29, 1903 she married Franklin Webster Wakefield and produced 2 sons, Franklin Webster Wakefield, Jr. b. 1905 and Joseph Sefton Wakefield b. 1906. After divorcing Wakefield she married Colonel Henry Benjamin Clark in 1912. Their two sons are James Dallas Clark b. 1913 and Henry Benjamin Clark, Jr. b. 1915 who are the family patriarchs today.
